Napoli set an ultimatum for Rudi Garcia

Fifth in the Serie A standings, seven points behind the Rossonero leader, Napoli is no longer the dashing and exciting team of last season. The reigning Italian champion has even just lost another home match against Fiorentina (1-3). A setback which came just after the one conceded in the Champions League against Real Madrid (2-3).

Enough to put Rudi Garcia in the hot seat. Cut into small pieces by the Italian press, the French coach knows that his days are numbered in the Italian city if he does not raise the bar. In today’s edition, the Gazzetta dello Sport we also learn that President Aurelio De Laurentiis, very disappointed by his coach, gave him an ultimatum. Rudi Garcia has three matches to convince, otherwise it’s the door.

Rescue mission in an impossible context

The mission promises to be complicated for the Frenchman since if Napoli will meet a poorly ranked team (Verona, 16th) upon returning from the international break, he will then have to manage the Champions League match against Union Berlin and especially the shock of Serie A against AC Milan! The program therefore promises to be tough for the former OL coach. Especially since it evolves in a very complicated context.

Yesterday, we revealed to you that the Neapolitan locker room could no longer stand Garcia. Several executives have complained about the technician’s methods and clearly their management is anticipating the Frenchman’s departure. Igor Tudor, Graham Potter and Marcelo Gallardo are in fact cited as the first options studied in case we have to say goodbye to Rudi Garcia.
