This is a nice surprise. Transferred last winter to Chelsea, Malo Gusto however joined southwest London this summer. Since then, the former Lyonnais has taken advantage of Reece James’ injury to find a place, delivering more than accomplished copies. But while the international break is hitting the players hard, the right back was called up to the France A team to once again compensate for the injuries of some of his compatriots. Malo Gusto tells how he learned of his selection.

“I was getting ready to come with the Espoirs. I received a quick phone call on the train to tell me that I was with the A’s. It’s a source of pride. I’m very happy, we’re going to take advantage of the moment and have fun. The goal is to stay there. I worked for it. Above all, I want to enjoy the moment, and realize how lucky I am to be here.”, he explains, after greeting his “ex-partners” and Thierry Henry, just before joining the famous Château de Clairefontaine. Malo Gusto then took part in the Blues’ first training session. A little later, another former OL player appeared in the person of Castello Lukeba. Just to enjoy, together, before facing the Netherlands and Scotland.
