Mundo Deportivo today reports what it calls a “state of alarm” at Barcelona due to a spate of injuries.

Xavi’s already small squad has been hit by a series of injuries as the season draws to a close, and from front to back the squad looks thin.

Jules Koundé limped out last night and is expected to miss 5 or more matches. Lamine Yamal’s problem is more minor, but given his young age, the club will want to be careful not to bring him back too quickly. He is due to undergo further testing with the Spanish national team in the coming days.

Ronald Araujo has just returned from injury and the club fear he will be overused by Uruguay during the international break.

Pedri, Frankie de Jong, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski are already out, meaning Xavi’s options are extremely limited within the team.

With the Clasico coming up at the end of the month, this is not a situation the Catalans want to find themselves in.
