Pep Guardiola has hinted at Juventus that he could be tempted to coach in Serie A, with the Catalan saying “the food is very good in Italy”.
The current Manchester City manager was heavily linked with the Bianconeri in 2019, when Massimiliano Allegri ended his first spell in charge of the club. But Guardiola was not approached and Maurizio Sarri finally took the reins of the Turin club.
Since then, Guardiola has signed a contract until 2025 with Manchester City, who he led to the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League treble last season, and has no intention of taking on a new challenge in the ‘immediate.
The 52-year-old coach, however, suggested that a departure for Italy could be part of his future, speaking at the “Talent Dialogues with Pep Guardiola” event organized by the CRC Foundation: “ Juventus? They never contacted me. The food is very good in Italy. Would I train them? I really like Italy, I often come there on vacation.”
