Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed the name of the best player he played with during his professional career.
According to Guardiola, Italian football legend and former Juventus star Roberto Baggio is the most talented footballer he has encountered during his professional career. The former Spain international joined Serie A club Brescia after leaving Barcelona in 2001. It was at Brescia that Guardiola played with Baggio.
At an event organized in Cuneo by the CRC Foundation in partnership with the Vialli and Mauro Foundation and the Guardiola Sala Foundation, the Man City coach was asked who was the best player he had played with, what he has answered : “Definitely Roberto Baggio.”
The Spanish manager also gave some advice to students at the event who aspire to become footballers: “ You don’t develop talent at home, with Instagram or Twitter. It’s impossible. Talent develops with practice and even by making mistakes. Do you like playing football? So you have to play a lot. »
Baggio spent his entire career in Italy and played for all three clubs Juventus, AC Milan and Inter. He spent the last four seasons of his career, from 2000 to 2004, at Brescia before hanging up his boots.
