Packages are piling up for the France team. After that of William Saliba (replaced by Jean-Clair Todibo), it is the turn of Jules Koundé and Dayot Upamecano to have to give up the gathering of the Blues. To replace them, Didier Deschamps called up a regular, Axel Disasi, and a newcomer: the former Lyonnais Malo Gusto.

“Malo Gusto and Axel Disasi replace Jules Koundé and Dayot Upamecano. Jules Koundé and Dayot Upamecano are unable to participate in the French team rally which begins this Monday, October 9 and which will see the Blues face the Netherlands in Amsterdam, Friday 13 (8:45 p.m., live on TF1) as part of qualifying for Euro 2024, then Scotland, on Tuesday November 17, in a friendly, at the Décathlon Arena – Pierre-Mauroy stadium in Lille Métropole. Exited prematurely on Sunday against Granada, Jules Koundé suffers from a sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. Dayot Upamecano, who had to leave his Bayern Munich partners on Sunday against Freiburg, suffers from a left hamstring injury. After speaking with Dr. Franck Le Gall, the doctor of the French team, Didier Deschamps recorded these two packages. The national coach decided to call Malo Gusto and Axel Disasi as reinforcements. Malo Gusto, initially selected with the Espoirs, joins the group this afternoon. Axel Disasi is expected this Monday evening at Clairefontaine »indicates the FFF in a press release.
