Koundé, worry

Aligned Sunday evening by FC Barcelona on the Granada side, Jules Koundé left with an injury. Not a good sign in view of the gathering of the French team.

While William Saliba withdrew a little earlier today for the upcoming Blues rally, another French defender could well imitate him. Sunday evening, while FC Barcelona traveled to Granada (9th day of La Liga), Jules Koundé left injured before the end of the first period. There is therefore total uncertainty over his presence with the France team to face the Netherlands (qualifying for Euro 2024) and Scotland (friendly).

The former Sevilla FC injury occurred after a collision with his teammate, Gavi. The Spanish media, for their part, are reporting a possible sprain of the left knee. A diagnosis far too early to be confirmed at the moment. Whatever the case, the information is not reassuring for Didier Deschamps who could lose one of his rare options in the right lane of the French defense. On the other hand, the opportunity could be great for Jonathan Clauss to play again with the French team. However, we will have to wait for official news concerning Jules Koundé.
