Not a good Sunday evening for FC Barcelona. Traveling to a poorly ranked team, the Catalan club nevertheless had a great opportunity to return to the wake of Real Madrid, but also to recover the second place left to Girona, winner on Saturday of Cádiz (0-1). Mission failed by Xavi’s men who scared themselves very much by snatching a draw point at the last minute for Granada (2-2, 9th day of La Liga). To complete the bleak picture, Jules Koundé had to leave his partners due to injury, just before the break.
It is still a little too early to know what exactly the French defender is suffering from, but the first echoes from Spain were not too encouraging, with some mentioning a “ slight sprain of left knee“.
