The Premier League giants, who won the treble last season, do not want to lose the Norwegian striker. The latter has a release clause in his contract, active at the end of this season, but its amount should put off most suitors.
According to The Mailif Haaland renews his contract this season, he will benefit from an increase in his salary of €450,000 per week, plus bonuses.
The Scandinavian appears to be worth the investment, as he scored 52 goals in all competitions last season. The Sky Blues could also amortize the amount of expenses thanks to marketing income linked to the Norwegian star. Haaland is attracting more and more sponsors, and this will be even more the case if he wins the Ballon d’Or in the years to come.
