Vinicius Junior surrendered his crown after the midfielder scored two goals against Osasuna on Saturday.
Bellingham opened the scoring for Los Blancos, before adding a second goal shortly after half-time. The midfielder has now scored 10 goals this season, putting him at the top of the La Liga goalscoring charts.
Vinicius also decreed that the Englishman is currently the best player in the world in the mixed zone, at the end of the match: “ Bellingham was born to play for Real Madrid, that much is clear. I hope we play together for many years because we are all very happy to have him as a teammate.”
On Saturday, Bellingham surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal contribution record. He has now contributed to 13 goals in his first 10 games. Ronaldo only scored 11.
The former BvB player will be called up for England duty this week and is expected to be back in the Madrid squad for the match against Sevilla on October 21.
