Sunday, at 5:30 p.m., Manchester City will go to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal as part of the 8th day of the Premier League. An XXL poster between the two favorites for the title and a Skyblues team which only has a small point lead over the Gunners. But the match seems to have already started for Pep Guardiola who is trying to put pressure on his opponents, in particular by praising the quality of Mikel Arteta’s squad after the last summer transfer window.

“The recruitment they have carried out is of a top level, they are exceptional players. The goalkeeper, Havertz, Rice… They are a good team”, declares the Catalan tactician, who does not necessarily seem aware of the German’s delicate start to the season, having spent time with Chelsea. What is certain is that Pep Guardiola already has his plan in mind. “The return match against Arsenal, when they come here, it will be different with a lot of things at stake. What I want is to arrive in February qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League, close to the head of the championship and have the last 10 matches (to say): ‘Here we go again’.”
