With their backs against the wall, Manchester United were heading straight for another defeat in the Premier League, this Saturday against Brentford, at Old Trafford. A setback which would surely have cast doubt on the future of Erik ten Hag, given that the Red Devils are in difficulty in the PL standings and find themselves with no points taken in the Champions League, following a defeat against Galatasaray, at Old Trafford this week (2-3). But during stoppage time, the Red Devils turned everything around against the Bees and won… thanks to Scott McTominay’s double in a few minutes (2-1).

A stunning result, which allowed Manchester United to move back into the top half of the Premier League table. After his double, the Scottish midfielder recounted his entry into play, with great humility. “It’s my favorite moment, I’m very happy, this victory, it was more than important. Today it’s me, but I think it could have been someone else. We were going through a difficult period, we had to get out of it. I hope we will be able to build around this victory”he explained to the English media.
