The rivalry between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid is taken very seriously. According to information from The Athletic, Real Madrid have reportedly decided to fire a coach from their under-17 team following a letter of thanks he sent to his former employer, FC Barcelona. Adria Diaz, assistant coach, is in fact on the verge of being dismissed from his position within the under-17 team, even though he joined Real Madrid last July.
According to several sources, Madrid leaders decided to fire Diaz after discovering his letter to Barcelona, where he held different youth coaching positions between 2015 and 2019. In the letter, Diaz notably expressed his affection and gratitude towards the Catalan club, which had supported him when his mother suffered from cancer. However, Real Madrid would dispute this version and assure that Diaz himself would have asked to leave to join Leganes.
