Bollaert attacked before Lens-Lille!

The den of RC Lens, the Bollaert stadium, suffered a pitiful attack while the derby against Lille was being held there this weekend.

Lensois’ great victory over Arsenal on Tuesday evening in the Champions League pleased France’s footballers, but obviously not everyone. In the north of the country, the rivalry between RC Lens and Losc rages, with excesses unfortunately observed more and more frequently in recent years during confrontations between the two teams.

While Lensois and Lille meet on Sunday as part of the 8e day of Ligue 1, damage has been noted over the last two days around the Bollaert stadium, the Sang et Or playing field. Insulting tags first appeared around the enclosure and on its walls. Then a level was reached since the very lawn of the artesian vessel was damaged.

The lawn burned in places

Acid, or an extremely corrosive substance of the same ilk, was distributed in different areas of the Lens billiards table, completely burning the lawn in the affected areas. Racing of course filed a complaint upon noting the facts, RMC reported this Friday evening. Police analyzing videotapes from stadium surveillance cameras to identify the perpetrators. The organization of the derby this weekend is not in question.
