Disappointing tomorrows. A little more than 10 days after their great victory over OM (4-0) at the Parc des Princes, PSG found themselves in the sights of the disciplinary committee. The institution decided this evening the fate reserved for the French champion, 4 of whose players (Ousmane Dembélé, Randal Kolo Muani, Achraf Hakimi and Layvin Kurzawa) were accused of having repeated insulting chants in front of the public, who did not didn’t ask for his rest either.

Olivier Klein, interministerial delegate for the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and anti-LGBT hatred (DILCRAH), even took legal action with the agreement of the Minister of Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéra and the Minister of Equality, Bérangère Couillard, in order to sanction the facts and their authors. Faced with the outcry, the 4 Parisians ended up apologizing, belatedly (on October 1, a week after the facts denounced) but this was certainly taken into account by the commission, which has just delivered its verdict.

The disciplinary committee imposes a suspended match on PSG players

The latter decided to sanction to a certain extent both the Auteuil stand and the Parisian players. Firstly, on the players, the disciplinary committee showed leniency. “Reported by the reports of the match delegate and taking into account the nature of the comments of certain Paris Saint-Germain players, the Disciplinary Commission decided to summon the players Ousmane DEMBÉLÉ, Achraf HAKIMI, Randal KOLO MUANI and Layvin KURZAWA. After hearing the players concerned, the Commission pronounces, for each player, the following decision: a suspended match suspension. The sanction takes effect from Tuesday October 10.”

It was also necessary to resolve the case of the Auteuil stand, in front of which the players celebrated the victory. Many supporters, including elsewhere in the Parc des Princes, accompanied the players’ insulting chants. “Behavior of Paris Saint-Germain supporters. Closure for a final match and a suspended match from the Auteuil stand at the Parc des Princes. The sanction takes effect immediately.” PSG will therefore be deprived of some of its supporters when it hosts Strasbourg on October 21.
