Lille disappoints!

Lille conceded a goalless draw to Klaksvik for the 2nd day of the Europa Conference League group stage, this Thursday (0-0).

After having successfully negotiated its entry into the Europa Conference League, LOSC headed due north to challenge a modest team from the Faroe Islands, KL Klaksvik, the most renowned team in the small archipelago. A meeting that Lille therefore approached with the favorite grandissime costume.

Paulo Fonseca made no secret of it since three days before a highly anticipated northern derby against Lens, the LOSC coach had opted for a largely overhauled starting eleven. A composition which even resembled an additional team with the experienced André to supervise a very experimental eleven. Called into the group for this trip, Jonathan David was not lined up.

A borrowed LOSC

Lille did not hold its place in this meeting. The Mastiffs produced a disappointing performance, struggling to get close to the locals’ goal. Only Yazici sent a few shivers through the opposing defense in the first period, without success (19th, 29th), while the young Virginius saw his attempt crash into the bar. Without much conviction, LOSC must therefore be content with this frustrating result.
