Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior has admitted he helped persuade Jude Bellingham to join Real Madrid last year.
The 20-year-old had the option of returning to his native England, with Manchester City and Liverpool offering him the Premier League and, according to Florentino Perez, more lucrative contracts.
However, Los Blancos convinced Bellingham that the Santiago Bernabéu was the place to be, as indicated Diario AS, which specifies that Vinicius participated in this effort.
“I wanted Bellingham to be at Real Madrid. I sent Jude a lot of messages last year. I sent him messages almost every day telling him to come to Madrid.”
Meanwhile, Bellingham has been full of praise for Vinicius. The Brazilian has missed several matches through injury this season, but the connection between the two players was evident in the 3-2 win over Napoli.
” He is incredible. For me he is probably the best in the world. He’s one of the most talented teammates I’ve ever had. He makes matches easier for me. His speed, his talent…”
The big question for Carlo Ancelotti is whether he can get the best of both at the same time. Against Napoli, the Italian managed to make Bellingham and Vinicius work, but the system was set up to exploit Bellingham’s talent. With Vinicius further inside, it remains to be seen if he can replicate his form from last season.
