Fifa has not clearly decided between the different candidates at its disposal for the organization of the 2030 World Cup.

Between the Argentina-Uruguay-Paraguay and Spain-Portugal-Morocco triplets, Fifa was unable to formally choose. This Wednesday, the international body lifted the veil on the lucky ones elected to organize the high mass of football which in 2030 will succeed the Canada-United States-Mexico trio, in charge of the event in 2026.

The tournament will be held mainly in Spain, Portugal and Morocco. But for the centenary of the very first edition played in Uruguay in 1930, Fifa also made a gesture towards the other candidacy, which brought together Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. Each of these three countries will thus be entitled to their first round match. As for Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, it will have the distinct honor of hosting the opening ceremony.
