PSG travels to Newcastle this Wednesday in a Champions League group match. Luis Enrique chose to line up Randal Kolo Muani from the start, to the detriment of Gonçalo Ramos.
Two weeks after its home victory against Borussia Dortmund (2-0), Paris Saint-Germain returned to the Champions League during a trip to English side Newcastle. For this second group match, Luis Enrique’s men hope to do well on the pitch of a team in full progress since the takeover of the club by Saudi Arabia in October 2021. The Parisian coach has decided to field a team ready to move forward.
Luis Enrique chose an astonishing composition. A 4-2-4 with Hakimi and Lucas Hernandez on the defensive sides and a Marquinhos-Skriniar hinge. Higher up, a mid-two with Zaire-Emery and Ugarte. No Vitinha who will start on the bench, but an offensive line of four where we find both Gonçalo Ramos and Kolo Muani. Dembélé and Mbappé are also starters.
