The controversy is gaining momentum almost 3 days after the criticized victory of Spurs against Liverpool (2-1). If the Reds received two red cards during the match, one fact of the game remains remembered in England. This is the goal unfairly denied to Luis Diaz when the match was well underway. The spinning winger pushed the ball into the back of the net with his cross shot, before referee Simon Hooper whistled for offside, which was non-existent.

New twist. The Daily Mail explains that the group of referees involved during the clash should publish the audio of the failed VAR call which cost the Reds a crucial goal on Saturday evening. Liverpool even put pressure on the PGMOL refereeing body on Monday, demanding a copy of the audio tape to know what the referees said before making the decision, which was bad in hindsight. The PGMOL is still examining the situation and would be slightly hesitant to publish the exchanges which would undermine Simon Hooper, Darren England and his assistant Dan Cook, at VAR.
