At the end of his contract on June 30, Olivier Giroud was questioned about his future on the sidelines of the Milanese’s trip to Dortmund.
After nine years spent in London, where he wore the colors of Arsenal and Chelsea, Olivier Giroud transferred to AC Milan in 2021. Already the author of 4 goals and 3 assists in 7 appearances (all competitions combined) since the start of the 2023-2034 financial year, the 37-year-old French striker has confirmed that he is still essential to his Rossoneri.
Still as formidable despite the passing years, Olivier Giroud could well once again extend his lease in Lombardy. An eventuality which does not seem to displease the top scorer in the history of the Blues, whose current contract runs until June 30. But, for the moment, the Savoyard does not want to think about it.
“I have been happy since day one”
” A prolongation ? We will think about it in June, for now I want to do my best for Milan. I don’t plan anything but I feel good here, and I’ve been happy since the first day”, confided Giroud on the sidelines of the Champions League match between Dortmund and Milan. Coveted this summer, particularly by English teams, the former Montpellier player declined these advances, he who feels at home in Milan.
