PSG is total inconsistency

Since the start of the season, PSG has struggled to be consistent. Luis Enrique will have to remedy this consistency problem in the coming weeks.

After seven days of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain is in fifth place in Ligue 1. Nothing dramatic in itself since the capital club is just two points behind the Monegasque leader. However, if we compare with last season, the Rouge et Bleu are already showing less consistency.

Indeed, during the 2022-2023 financial year, PSG occupied first place in the French championship rankings from the first to the last day. However, this season, the club coached by Luis Enrique has only won half of its matches played, including three draws and one defeat. Certainly, in the big matches, Paris won, notably against Olympique de Marseille (4-0) and against Borussia Dortmund (2-0) in the Champions League.

When Luis Enrique does not field his typical team, PSG seems in difficulty, like last Saturday on the Clermont lawn. However, several players are expected to return soon, including Mukiele, Kang-in Lee and Presnel Kimpembe. On Wednesday, the capital club will travel to Newcastle for the second day of the Champions League group stages. On Sunday, the French champion will welcome Stade Rennais to the Parc des Princes. The opportunity to string together two consecutive victories and regain some consistency.
