After a soporific match between Juventus and Atalanta Bergamo (0-0), Roma hosted Frosinone this Sunday evening for the last meeting of the day counting for the 7th day of Serie A. In the wake of a disappointing draw against Torino and a heavy defeat suffered on the Genoa pitch, José Mourinho’s players had to resume their march forward against a tough opponent and especially a surprising one promoted at the start of the Italian championship season.

The Romans quickly took control of the match after a subtle deflection from Paulo Dybala for Romelu Lukaku who was quick to open the scoring (21st, 1-0). In the second period, Lorenzo Pellegrini’s teammates did it again through their captain, who improved a free kick very well struck by the first decisive passer of this meeting (83rd, 2-0). Thanks to this victory, Roma returns to 12th place in Serie A, only a small point behind their evening opponent.
