Real Madrid will certainly recruit a new striker next summer.

Joselu Mato is the only natural number nine in the first team at present, and he is only at the club on a season-long loan from Espanyol.

If Joselu returns to Espanyol, Real Madrid may choose to sign two strikers. One of them should be a big name, like Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland, while the second could be a more promising talent.

Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez falls into this second category. The Mexico international has been outstanding for the Dutch champions over the last 12 months and looks to be one of the biggest attacking prospects in Europe.

According to FilesReal Madrid is one of the clubs interested in Gimenez, and if they want to sign him, they will have to pay 50 million euros, which is the price asked by Feyenoord.

Gimenez could be a great addition to Real Madrid’s squad, although it is not yet clear if he is needed. If a top striker is recruited, Los Blancos already have Endrick, a promising young option.
