For the third consecutive season, José Mourinho will be the coach of AS Roma. The Portuguese coach, who was announced as leaving at the end of the season, has decided to continue the adventure with the Roman club which has absolute confidence in him.
However, the Special One could have left the ship this summer. In fact, the 60-year-old turned down an incredible offer during the offseason. In comments reported by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Portuguese declared having refused an incredible offer from Saudi Arabia.
“I received the greatest managerial offer in the history of football. I decided to refuse because I told the AS Roma board, the fans and the players that I was going to stay. I gave them my word,” did he declare.
A proposal which had reached 30 million euros net per season to coach the Saudi club Al-Hilal where the Brazilian Neymar is currently playing.
