Erling Haaland sent a message to Manchester City fans following the 2-1 defeat to Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.
A second-half own goal from Ruben Dias and a goal from Hwang Hee-chan condemned Manchester City to a rare defeat. Haaland was held in check by a superb home defense led by veteran Craig Dawson. The record-breaking striker appeared contrite with supporters after reflecting on the setback.
On Instagram, Haaland said: “ Always grateful for your support. We will learn from yesterday and do better next time. »
While Haaland hopes that normal order will soon be restored, the rest of the league will be encouraged by some of the chinks that appeared in the three-time winner’s armor last financial year. With Todri still suspended for next weekend’s blockbuster match against Arsenal at the Emirates, the local rivals are hoping City will soon drop more points.
City’s next opportunity to “do better” will come in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, with a trip to RB Leipzig, whose style proved quite accommodating for Haaland last season.
