Liga: Osasuna relaunches at Alavés

Continuation of the 8th day of La Liga. Before hosting Real Madrid next week, Osasuna got their heads back together by beating Deportivo Alavés away (0-2). Against the run of play, the Gorritxoak led quickly to the score despite a sluggish start to the match. On a nice pass from Ruben Pena, José Manuel Arnaiz unleashes a long shot which leaves Antonio Sivera unmoved after half an hour of play (36th). Shaken by this opening score, Alavés tried to come back into the game at the last minute by leading numerous attacks on the opposing goal. But Ianis Hagi, spearhead of the Basque attack, was unsuccessful in the last gesture on all his attempts.

Upon returning from the locker room, the task became complicated for Deportivo Alavés, reduced in numerical inferiority following the expulsion of Antonio Blanco for a nasty tackle on his opponent (50th). At eleven against ten and despite the injury exits of Johan Mojica and Sergio Herrera, Osasuna controlled the debates while giving themselves the break point thanks to Ante Budimir (90th). With this first victory since August 27, the Pamplona club moves into the first part of the ranking. For its part, Alavés still does not succeed and remains two points from the red zone while awaiting the poorly classified duel between Celta de Vigo and Las Palmas.
