After PSG’s draw in Clermont this Saturday, Luis Enrique notably complained about the state of the pitch.

While it had the opportunity to temporarily take the lead in Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain was upset by Clermont this Saturday. Despite several big chances, the Parisians failed to find the fault against a valiant Clermont team who could even have opened the scoring without a great Gianluigi Donnarumma.

A draw (0-0) which does not do the capital club’s business from an accounting point of view and which does not reassure before the trip to Newcastle in the Champions League on Wednesday. Interviewed at the microphone of Prime Video after the match, Luis Enrique was very angry, particularly about the pitch at the Stade Gabriel-Montpied. “I feel sorry because it was a very competitive, difficult match, we knew that before the match. I think we created more chances than Clermont and we could have won this match. (…) I am happy with the performance of the players. Maybe we could have been more aggressive in the first half. But when you see how the ball bounces at times, it was hard to play on that pitch. From an offensive point of view, the conditions were difficult for us”blurted the Spanish technician.
