PSG boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi has made surprising revelations about Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi admits he is a big fan of FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski.
Nasser, big fan of Lewandowski
In 2022, Paris tried to bring in the Polish goleador but without result. Al-Khelaifi hinted that he might try his luck with “Lewy” again in the future. “It is not my principle to talk about players who do not belong to PSG or transfers which have not yet taken place. But it’s no secret that Lewandowski is an incredible striker. Every club in the world looked at him and was interested at one point or another in signing him. But Robert plays today for Barcelona and I respect that,” he told the Meczyki website.
Even though he has Kylian Mbappé in his squad, Al-Khelaifi admitted: “There aren’t many finishers as skilled as him, who scores almost every game. He’s a goal-scoring machine and a good person. We met and I have nothing but good things to say about him.”
Lewandowski’s current contract with Barcelona expires in 2026. He will then be 38 years old. He’s not sure whether Paris still wants him at that time. But, you never know.
