This is the affair that has shaken Napoli for several days. While Rudi Garcia’s squad is blowing hot and cold on the meadow, a publication posted on the club’s social networks caused an outcry. At the end of the draw against Bologna during which the former LOSC player missed a penalty (0-0), two videos, including one bordering on racism (Osimhen is described as a coconut), were were published then quickly removed on TikTok. And while the player, logically, took this gesture from his own organization badly, the latter decided to remove almost all of his publications under the Partenopei colors on Instagram.

Obviously, this affair even crossed the borders of Campania because the Nigerian government reacted to the affair. Thus, John Owan Enoh, Minister of Sports of Nigeria, expressed himself in a press release published this Friday: “My office is working to contact Osimhen personally and understand what the issues are, in order to establish the facts. I am also in contact with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Nigerian Ambassador to the Italian Republic. We are using diplomatic channels to explore the issue with Italy. We are determined to ensure that our athletes receive the respect they deserve and are not exposed to injustice, discrimination and unfair ridicule that could harm their careers.»
