The 6th day of the Bundesliga continued this Saturday with several confrontations involving the leading teams in the German championship. After the victories of VfB Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich traveled to RB Leipzig to regain its leadership throne against a direct competitor for the qualifying places for the next edition of the Champions League. For this meeting, Thomas Tuchel also trusted his strong men. The Bavarians notably got the first opportunity but Jamal Musiala lost his duel with the opposing goalkeeper (3rd). If Emil Forsberg missed his distant lob after an error from Sven Ulreich (12th), Loïs Openda did not miss the opener a few minutes later (20th, 1-0).

In the process, the scorer transformed into a passer when Castello Lukeba took advantage of a nice delivery from the former Lensois to score the break goal (26th, 2-0). Returning from the locker room, Harry Kane took advantage of a handball from Benjamin Henrichs in his own area to reduce the score on a penalty (57th, 2-1). The Bavarians continued to insist against a team regrouped in their last meters and the deliverance finally came from Leroy Sané who equalized at the dawn of the last quarter of an hour of this meeting (71st, 2-2). Despite numerous attempts on both sides, the scoreboard no longer moved and the two teams ended in a spectacular draw. With this small point, Bayern Munich remains on the third step of the Bundesliga podium while RB Leipzig occupies 5th place in the German championship.
