Excellent news for Stade Rennais: Martin Terrier is fit for duty.
Nine months after his terrible right knee injury – a rupture of the cruciate ligaments with the affected meniscus – Martin Terrier returns to the Stade Rennais group to face Nantes, Sunday evening, at the end of the 7e day of Ligue 1.
Good news never comes alone, Arnaud Kalimuendo is also making his comeback, around three weeks after his injury to the ischios of his right thigh contracted with the Espoirs tricolores. On the other hand, Enzo Le Fée, victim of an acromioclavicular sprain last Sunday in Montpellier, is out for this weekend.
“Technically, Martin hasn’t lost anything”
“ Martin and Arnaud are competitive to be in the group on Sundaysaid Bruno Genesio this Friday in front of the press. Martin is not ready to start, he could possibly come on during the match, maybe for around twenty minutes maximum. I try to preserve him, I will see him tomorrow to reassure him about his role, we must of course not expect wonders from Martin on Sunday, nor Thursday nor the Sunday after against Paris. »

Regarding his international striker, the Rennes coach adds: “ It’s been almost nine months since he last stepped on the pitch, he’s doing very well but we also know that it takes time to get back into the rhythm of the match, the benchmarks. Technically, he hasn’t lost anything, that’s the main thing. (…) We can think that he will be in top form in January, but I think that between now and then, he will still be of great service to us. It’s time for him to return to competition. »
