Substitute during Olympique Lyonnais’ last match, Rayan Cherki will regain his starting place at OL.

OL, currently 17th in Ligue 1, wants to get back on track. And Fabio Grosso is ready to take up the challenge and make decisions, despite a failed start against Brest last Saturday (0-1). During this defeat, Rayan Cherki, the offensive asset of Les Gones, only came on in the 79th minute. A strong choice from Fabio Grosso for his first meeting at the head of the Lyon team.

But this time, Cherki will not have to settle for an entry eleven minutes from the end. The Olympique Lyonnais attacking midfielder will start on Sunday against Stade de Reims (1 p.m., 7th day of Ligue 1). Fabio Grosso announced it on Friday at a press conference. The Italian coach revealed that Nicolas Tagliafico and Anthony Lopes were also sure to start this match.

Note that the decision to put the 20-year-old talent on the bench last weekend sparked debates and questions about the player’s compatibility with Fabio Grosso’s expectations. With in particular revelations of RMC concerning a break in the Lyon locker room, symbolized in particular by a distrust towards Rayan Cherki. Grosso therefore puts an end to all speculation.
