French defender Benjamin Pavard reflected on his first steps with his new team Inter.
Benjamin Pavard is delighted with his first weeks at Inter Milan. And he is logically pleased with the choice he made in joining this training.
Pavard wants to win a lot of trophies with Inter
The French defender has impressed since his arrival on the final day of the transfer window from Bayern Munich.
“I have followed Italian football for a long time, I have a lot of friends who play in Italy. I consider it a tactically difficult championship and I think I can learn a lot here,” Pavard told DAZN. “I am proud to be part of a great club like Inter. I play football to win trophies. At the end of my career, I will be proud to look back at everything I have won. I hope there will be many more in this cupboard, because I am always hungry for trophies.”
The 2018 world champion was able to enrich his record in Bavaria and now he hopes to be able to do so in Lombardy: “I would like to win a lot of titles with Inter, starting with the Scudetto and putting the second star on our jersey.”
The ex-Lille player concluded by indicating that the internal leaders were able to find the necessary words to convince him to join them. “I spent seven years in Germany and felt the time was right for a new challenge. Inter is a club with such a history written by legends like Javier Zanetti, who works here today. It seemed obvious to me that Inter shared my ambition, which is to win as many trophies as possible.”
