Already a broadcaster of the French team’s matches, TF1 has acquired the broadcasting rights for an important competition.

Historical broadcaster of the French men’s team, TF1 will also provide coverage of the women’s team. As in 2019 on the occasion of the World Cup in France, the first channel obtained the acquisition of the broadcasting rights to a major international women’s football competition: Euro 2025. The operation would have been concluded for an amount of 20 million euros.

TF1 will broadcast all of the tournament’s matches, i.e. 31 matches in total. A very nice move for the group, which hopes to ride on the development of women’s football and the positive image of the Bleues, who have moved into a new era after the arrival of Hervé Renard to replace Corinne Diacre.

TF1 thinks big for the Blues

“We are very happy to offer women’s competitions wide exposure and to allow them to be followed by as many people as possible, declared François Pellissier, deputy CEO of sports and business at TF1. The acquisition of this major sporting event in 2025 once again demonstrates the TF1 Group’s ambition to offer the biggest events free of charge to all French people. »
