André-Pierre Gignac won another trophy with Tigres by beating Los Angeles FC in the Campeones Cup.
The harvest continues peacefully for André-Pierre Gignac. Exiled in Mexico since his departure from Olympique de Marseille in the summer of 2015, the international striker continues to win titles and trophies. The latest was validated on Wednesday, as part of the Campeones Cup.
It was on penalties that his Tigres de Monterrey team finally got the better of Los Angeles FC (0-0, 4-2 on the tabs), in a competition which pits the winner of the Mexican Super Cup against that of the United States Cup. No goal having been scored in regulation time, everything therefore came down to a penalty shootout during which André-Pierre Gignac was the first to take a shot for his team. With success.
