Cristiano Ronaldo is determined to recover nearly €20 million in unpaid wages from Juventus. The lawsuit he filed against his former club will begin on October 4.

More than three years after the confinement which notably brought the Italian championship to a halt, Cristiano Ronaldo is demanding compensation. The Portuguese footballer believes he was financially harmed by his former club Juventus during this period during which he agreed to defer the payment of his salary. A second postponement was agreed in 2021, while the Old lady was experiencing new financial problems. Today, Cristiano Ronaldo wants to recover what he considers he is owed, a sum estimated at nearly twenty million euros.

The trial will take place very soon and La Gazzetta dello Sport even specifies that the date of Wednesday October 4 was chosen by the courts to study the request of the five-time Portuguese Ballon d’Or. For its part, Juventus disputes the version given by “CR7” and according to La Repubblica, she ensures that Ronaldo signed various documents in which he agreed to waive part of his salary for the 2020-2021 season. There would therefore be no reason to reimburse him anything. Justice will therefore have to decide.

Everyone has their own way

In the Serie A standings, Juventus is currently third, two points behind Inter Milan, the current leader. As for Cristiano Ronaldo, he continues his career with Al Nassr and currently occupies the place of top scorer in the Saudi Pro League with nine goals, three more than Malcom (Al-Hilal), his first pursuer.
