The other match at the end of the evening saw Valencia and Real Sociedad face off at Mestalla. The only goal in Valencia was scored by Carlos Fernández for the visitors, on a serve from Kieran Tierney, on loan from Arsenal. The club also finished 10 against 11 after the second warning received by Moroccan international Selim Amallah at the end of the first period. Three points which allow Real to move up to fifth place, Valencia remains eighth.
