Good news for Morocco

Semi-finalist of the 2022 World Cup, Morocco is increasingly weighing on the international stage.

There was only one left, of course, but until Tuesday at least Morocco remained in competition with Algeria for the organization of the 2025 African Cup of Nations.

This Wednesday, the responsibility for this CAN, initially entrusted to Guinea, shifted to the lap of the Atlas Lions, superb representatives of the African continent in the last four of the 2022 World Cup. An honor which no longer had been made in Morocco, freshly damaged by a terrible earthquake, since 1988.

Note that CAN 2027 has also been awarded. The competition in four years will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. This at the expense of Senegal which had also applied.
