Zidane, the (very) bad news!

Still without a club two years after his departure from Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane sees his horizon becoming a little more blocked.

Zinedine Zidane no longer makes a secret of it. Although he keeps a low profile in the media, he does not hesitate to say when he has the opportunity that he can’t wait to get back on the sidelines. “ I just hope to tell myself that soon I will be able to coach,” he said again next June. However, his name has very rarely been mentioned in recent months when European leaders have been looking for a coach.

Few clubs are, it is true, likely to interest him. For many observers, while waiting for the France team, his absolute priority, only Real Madrid and Juventus really have the arguments to seduce him. The Merengue club must think about the succession of Carlo Ancelotti, who will leave the Spanish capital at the end of the season to settle on the bench of the Seleçao.

But according to Radio Marca, Zinedine Zidane is clearly not the priority of Madrid decision-makers. Florentino Perez and his teams would indeed have in mind to attract another former member of the house, Xabi Alonso, who shines at the head of Bayer Leverkusen. The 2010 world champion would therefore be the big favorite to take over but a major obstacle could arise in front of the Merengue: the former midfielder is under contract with the B04 until 2026 and its leaders could want to keep the one who worked miracles on the Pillendreher bench.
