Here is a file that has been dragging on for many months. While Manchester United took 3% on Wall Street, British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe of the company Ineos, which already owns OGC Nice in France, will prepare a new takeover offer for the Red Devils, according to information from Bloomberg. It seeks to address concerns about future supply conditions, according to these same sources. As a reminder, Jim Ratcliffe had already presented earlier this year a proposal aimed at acquiring 69% of the shares of Manchester United held by the American Glazer family, which had officially put the English club up for sale.

Indeed, the question of the minority shareholders of the buyout group, composed in particular of Lindsell Train, Ariel Investments LLC and Eminence Capital, had not yet been raised in the discussions for this transaction. Mr Ratcliffe will therefore have to redraw the terms of his offer by discussing with all the parties concerned. Always according to Bloomberga group of Qatari investors led by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani is still in the running, in what would be one of the biggest deals ever in the world of sports.
