Claude Makélélé leaves his post as Chelsea’s technical mentor, four years after returning to London in 2019.

The story between Claude Makélélé and Chelsea ends. After four years of good and loyal service as a technical advisor to young players, the former French midfielder is leaving the London team. A decision which was taken by mutual agreement between the management of the Premier League club and the 2006 world vice-champion.

This departure follows several changes made within the Blues organization chart. Indeed, Bruno Saltor also announced his departure from the post of Chelsea coach. The Spaniard was responsible for acting as interim manager after the dismissal of Graham Potter on April 2.

And this, until the arrival of Frank Lampard, also as interim coach, before Mauricio Pochettino definitively took the reins of the six-time English champions at the end of June.
