This Sunday, Inter Milan traveled to Empoli for the 5th day of Serie A. A few days after the draw in the Champions League against Real Sociedad (1-1), the Nerazzurri returned to victory by winning with the smallest of scores (0-1). At the end of a difficult meeting, the Interists lacked efficiency to seal the 3 points without being scared before the final whistle.

Fortunately, Federico Dimarco’s gem after returning from the locker room allowed Inter to take the lead (0-1, 51st). On a brilliant volley from the Italian, undoubtedly one of the best goals of the season, Inzaghi’s men lead the score without ever letting go. However, Empoli showed character throughout the match even if it remained too light to hit the mark. At the end, a victory far from exciting for the Nerazzurri who did the job and who now take the lead in the championship with 5 wins in as many matches, thus overtaking AC Milan.
