The Premier League offered four XXL matches this Sunday afternoon. To start, Arsenal hosted Tottenham for an attractive London derby. A match between two teams in good form and who offer great football. And the show was there on the Emirates pitch. The defenses of both teams also offered great gifts to the attackers. It started with Christian Romero. The 2022 world champion was unhappy when he deflected a harmless shot from Bukayo Saka (1-0) for a CSC.

Dominant, Arsenal ended up falling back and conceding several chances. It took an XXL save from David Raya to keep the lead. But Spurs ended up being rewarded thanks to Heung-min Son. Well served by Maddison, the South Korean equalized and confirmed his current good form. Returning from the locker room, Bukayo Saka gave his team the advantage again. He took advantage of a rough hand from Romero, again, to convert a penalty. But immediately, almost on the kick-off, a ball lost by Jorginho allowed Maddison to go on the counter and then serve Son for the double (2-2). The score will no longer move. The two teams therefore parted with a draw in this derby.

Malo Gusto sent off, Chelsea lose again

In the other match, Liverpool hosted West Ham for a rather exciting match. And everything started well for the Reds as Mohamed Salah quickly opened the scoring. The Egyptian himself converted a penalty which he had obtained after a clumsy foul by Nayef Aguerd. But despite the domination of Jurgen Klopp’s men, the Hammers equalized thanks to Jarrod Bowen. The England international placed a beautiful, unstoppable header for Allison. Finally, after returning from the locker room, Liverpool ended up taking the three points thanks to a nice goal from Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota (2-1).

For their part, Chelsea have once again fallen and are still not reassuring. At Stamford Bridge, against Aston Villa, Mauricio Pochettino’s team once again delivered a disappointing performance with a defeat. It was Watkins who scored the only goal of the match for the Villans. He took advantage of his team’s numerical superiority after the exclusion of Malo Gusto for a violent gesture a few minutes earlier. Chelsea can’t do it and have only won one of their first six PL matches. Finally, Brighton quietly won against Bournemouth this Sunday (3-1).

The 3 p.m. matches

  • Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham (Romero CSC, Saka / Son x2)
  • Liverpool 3-1 West Ham (Salah, Darwin, Jota / Bowen)
  • Brighton 3-1 Bournemouth (Kerkez CSC, Mitoma x2 / Solanke)
  • Chelsea 0-1 Aston Villa (Watkins)
