In the midst of an institutional crisis, OM must face the anger of the parents of young girls once placed under its responsibility.

Numerous grievances were exposed against the management of OM this week in a press release co-signed by the majority of supporters’ associations: the Fanatics, MTP, South Winners, Club des Amis de l’OM, Dodger’s and Handifan Club OM (even if the president of the latter group denies having been consulted). Among the criticisms made, the management of the training center and a passage that is strange to say the least about the women’s section: ” Our dissatisfaction follows overwhelming testimony from parents of children playing at the training center. The latter described questionable supervision methods which would have been put in place by the new management team of the Campus, in particular degrading sanctions which would have been inflicted on the women’s section. »

This Sunday, La Provence publishes the testimony of parents who denounced last season the unworthy behavior of supervisors towards their minor daughters. “ Our girls were forced to change into underwear outside in the middle of winter », trumpets one of them. “ They left the locker room dirty. And again, dirty is a big word… They had just forgotten some Twix packaging. To punish them, they were forced to change outside. » So much for degrading sanctions.

In turn, club president Pablo Longoria, general manager Pedro Iriondo and financial director StĂ©phane Tessier were asked about the issue but no concrete response was sent to the parents concerned despite the promised investigation. Alongside La Provence, OM provides this insight today: “ These training sessions took place at the Eynaud stadium, managed by the municipality, as part of an agreement between the Grande Bastide college, Smuc, the District of Provence and OM. This is not the women’s section strictly speaking, we are not responsible for coordinating these training sessions which take place during school time. You should know that previously, the guard of this stadium, employed by the city, did not open the locker rooms. He did it from last season. But since the girls didn’t leave them clean, he closed them during a session to punish them. »
