If Rennes has just had 5 draws in Ligue 1 after being held in check on the Montpellier pitch, the Breton club was imitated in Germany by Eintracht Frankfurt this Sunday. Undefeated since the start of the season, Frankfurt has however struggled to find its way back to victory since its narrow victory against Darmstadt at the opening of the Bundesliga on August 20 (3 consecutive draws). Falling Aberdeen in the middle of the week (2-1), Dino Toppmöller’s men intended to use their success against the Scots in the Europa Conference League to breathe new life into the match against Freiburg, overthrown by Dortmund on the last day.

Masters of possession in the first half, the Eagles created a few chances without forcing the opposition. Returning from the locker room, Omar Marmoush tried to start the revolt but the Egyptian’s shot was deflected with his fingertips by Noah Atubolu (46th). Behind, not much happened and despite the numerous changes made by the two coaches, the end of the match was relatively choppy. Thus, Frankfurt and Friborg leave each other back to back (0-0). With this new draw to his credit, the winner of the Europa League 2021-2022 edition now has 7 points on the clock but is no longer advancing in the standings. For its part, Friborg enters the top 10.
