Betis did no better than a draw this Sunday against Cadiz (1-1, 6th day of La Liga). At the same time, Las Palmas defeated Granada at the last minute (1-0).

Real Betis’ dull start to the season continued this Sunday, when they hosted Cadiz. Stuck in the last places in the first half of the La Liga standings, the two teams were unable to decide between themselves (1-1, 6th day). The Sevillians even came close to disaster, but after conceding a goal from Christopher Ramos at the end of the first period (41st), they set the record straight by equalizing on the hour mark thanks to Guido Rodriguez (1- 1). A score that will not change until the final whistle. In the standings, Cádiz is eighth with the same number of points but a better goal difference than its opponent Sevilla (9th).

In the other meeting which took place in parallel, it was Las Palmas who managed to pull out of the game at the very last moment to beat Granada (1-0). In this duel of poorly ranked players, the locals nevertheless trembled, especially when they found themselves down to ten just before the hour mark, after the expulsion of Mika Marmol, punished with a second yellow card (58th). And it was finally in stoppage time that Kirian gave his team the victory (1-0, 90th+2). This success allows Las Palmas to move up to fifteenth place with one point ahead of the red zone. Granada remains relegated (19th).
