Some of Manchester United’s senior players would challenge the authority of their coach Erik Ten Hag.

Manchester United players have had enough of the criticism leveled at them by Erik ten Hag. There is general discontent and they have reported it to the club management.

The Manchester Evening News claims that the Dutch coach has made a habit of pointing the finger at several of his players and sparing others in his external criticism. The fact that he publicly burns them is also very little appreciated internally.

The players believe that they have been placed in an embarrassing position when they are only following the instructions given to them by the Batavian technician. In addition, they are not helped by extra-sporting constraints such as injuries or the ousting of a major player like Antony.

The report of general discontent, however, contrasts with other external reports according to which Ten Hag received unanimous applause after a rallying speech following the home defeat against Brighton.

As a reminder, MU lost three of their first five outings of the season in the Premier League, which explains their disappointing 13e place in the general classification. The Red Devils also started their Champions League journey with a setback against Bayern.
