Loaned to AS Roma, Renato Sanches is having a very complicated start. Last night, the Portuguese was injured again. Enough to annoy his coach, José Mourinho.

Thursday evening, AS Roma won 1-2 at Sheriff Tiraspol to open the Europa League season. For this meeting, José Mourinho had lined up Renato Sanches, on loan from PSG. If a muscle injury had slowed down his debut at Roma, the Portuguese international finally thought he would start his season last weekend. The joy was short-lived.

Indeed, the 26-year-old did not stay on the field for long. He came off injured after just 27 minutes. A hard blow for the Portuguese and his coach José Mourinho. This new glitch, his coach does not understand: “ Renato Sanches is a player who is too often uncertain. It’s difficult to understand. Bayern Munich did not understand, neither did PSG. We get tired of trying to understand”.

Back on the field last weekend against Empoli, the midfielder played 45 minutes and even scored his first goal with his new colors. According to Mourinho’s words, Sanches was even in great shape: “ He is a great player who needs to play. He played 45 minutes in the last game, he had three days of recovery, he was in great shape to play today, but he felt something.»
