Julian Nagelsmann, former coach of Hoffenheim, Leipzig and Bayern Munich, takes the reins of the German selection

It was in the air, it’s now official. Germany has found its new coach. This is Julian Nagelsmann who will coach the German selection until July 2024, the German Football Federation (DFB) announced in a press release on Friday. He will therefore be on the German bench during Euro 2024.

The coach who worked at Hoffenheim, Leipzig and then Bayern Munich succeeds Hansi Flick, dismissed from his post on September 10 the day after a rout against Japan (4-1). At 36, the Bavarian technician thus becomes the youngest coach in the history of the Nationalmannschaft.
